Project Overview

Alli is a mental health companion that provides young people with a focused and meaningful space to reflect, develop and learn.

Problem

Mental Health – The awareness of mental health and it’s impact on well being, performance and life satisfaction has skyrocketed over the last 5 years proving even more prominent over the course Covid 19.

Fear of Judgement – Hedonic psychology indicates that humans have a natural fear of being judged. This along with herd mentality leads to suppressed unresolved emotions and elevated anxiety.

Lack of Personal development tracking – Our brain distorts and generates bias on what we consider to be the “truth” about how we feel intrinsically. This can delay or mitigate the effectiveness of treatment from professionals.

Statistics

  • 50% of mental health problems are established by age 14 and 75% by age 24

  • Young women are twice as likely to show signs of common mental disorders

  • 70% of children and adolescents who experience mental health problems have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age

The social media generation is the one that feels the most alone

Our Solution

Alli is an Intelligent journal focused on providing young people with a meaningful space for reflection and development.

Alli is a judgement free companion that will learn about individuals the more they journal and provide a more personalised experience with each entry.

Alli’s tailored experience will provide a centralised hub unique to each user with catered information and suggestions based on how they have been feeling.
