Every three metres has a name.

what3words has divided the world into 3-metre squares and given each of its 57 trillion a unique three-word address, so anyone can find, share and save an exact spot: a front door, a beach entrance, a walker on a cliff path.

Where TEKEX comes in. Co-founder and CEO Chris Sheldrick has headlined TEKEX on two islands, at #36 in Jersey and IOM #2 in the Isle of Man. Closer to home, Jersey Fire and Rescue used a three-word address to reach an injured student on a cliff path in 2025.

Yoono is an AI people-intelligence platform, built in Jersey for regulated firms. Trust and corporate service providers, fund managers and law firms type in a single name and get an audit-ready due-diligence report in minutes.

Where TEKEX comes in. Founder and CEO Richard Tavernor has taken Yoono to the TEKEX stage in Jersey and the Isle of Man, and Yoono backs TEKEX events as a partner. In 2026 it was named one of ten fintech innovators for Catapult: FundTech in Luxembourg.

From neuroscience to everyday life.

iO-CO turns neuroscience research into protected IP, then into health and wellbeing products for cognition, sleep and stress, each spun out as a company of its own. Its lab in Jersey tests products with real users in real environments.

Where TEKEX comes in. Founder Nik Rose first presented iO-CO’s model at TEKEX #26 in 2023 and returned for Health Innovation Jersey in 2026. Head of Production Josh Dawkins takes it to the Isle of Man at IOM #3.
